Perform! Music Rentals offer a selection of quality, student clarinets, both new and ex-rental, used and proven by schools and teachers to play well and be reliable.

Brands may vary, but will include:

  • J. Michael - Japanese technology, free blowing model in excellent black case with shoulder strap.
  • Selmer Prelude - From the famous American company Conn/Selmer/Bach, this is an excellent student model.
  • Blessing - Made by Jupiter, and an excellent blowing instrument.
  • Nuova - Made by KHS (makers of Jupiter) and an exciting new addition to our range.
  • Bond Australia - Silver-plated keywork and a quality mouthpiece make this a desired student brand.
  • Suzuki - Famous Japanese maker, in sturdy flight-style case.

Perform Plus (Premium) - $69/school term (approx $23/month)

  • Jupiter 637N - Highly regarded and recommended clarinet, considered in the top 2 or 3 models by schools and teachers.
  • Trevor James - This clarinet, fully made in Europe, offers a superb, affordable alternative to the Buffet B12.
  • Buffet B12 (Germany)/Yamaha - These pre-loved or ex-rental instruments (subject to availability) provide high performance and can be converted to purchase at great savings over the nice price.

  • Jupiter 567GL - This saxophone is loved by schools around Australia, and with a 5 year warranty, is a durable long-term investment.

Our range of violins are chosen for quality of woods, fittings and tone. All are professionally set-up by specialists to meet school and teacher requirements. Each violin (or restrung as viola) are inclusive of case, bow and rosin.

  • Gliga III - This beautiful instrument is fully European-made, hand-crafted in Romania by generations of woodworkers. Complete with upgrade strings, bow and case, you can bring out the best in your child.

Perform Standard - $89/school term (approx $29/month). $50 bond applies to all cello rentals.

Our range of cellos are chosen for quality of woods, fittings and tone. All are professionally set-up by specialists to meet school and teacher requirements. Each cello is inclusive of padded bag, bow and rosin.

Perform Standard - $75/month

Choice of two of Australia's most highly regarded brands and models, chosen for their authentic touch, true to life tone and as examination-approved models. Both are on timber stands, with 3 pedals and the ability to connect to a computer.

  • Casio PX760 (black) - This slimline model is award-winning and at only 30cm wide, is ideal for bedrooms and anywhere where space is limited. There is a sliding lid to cover the keys, and direct USB computer connection.
  • Casio Ap260 - This full furniture-style piano is fully AMEB exam-approved model, and is complete with sliding key cover, timber stand and full grand piano pedals.
  • Kawai KDP90 (rosewood) - This traditional-style digital piano is sturdy and almost button-free. It has all the features, including metronome and recording, but as it is designed by piano teachers and built by a Japanese piano specialist, you really feel like you are at a traditional piano.
  • All come with a padded stool, and Koss acoustically-matched headphones can be provided with rental at a special, one-off buy price of $20.
